Any guitar is the right one when you do select one. It is interesting for no one to invest into something that will end up in the closet a few weeks later. For under 20$, you can buy a tuner at your local guitar store. What most people fear when picking up the guitar is to turn up the peg to tune each string. Try to put this fear behind you for the strings shouldn't snap and definitely won't whip you in the face, it's easier then you think. Buying an extra pair of cheap strings is another great idea.
Before even thinking about being some kind of rock star pop, or even blue guru, take your time and learn to pick and strum a guitar. Our instincts are dictating us to go as fast as our fingers are taking us. This is a bad way to learn things. Let the sonds sings to you. Take your time to understand them and memorize them. My first suggestion would be finger placement. Press firmly with your finger(s) to get the real quality of your guitar whenever you do play a single note or a cord. My second suggestion would be to play as close as you can to the fret. Most beginners are facing a rattle sound and this way will help you prevent it.
Online, you will find lots of articles and videos. So there is a sound you want to play and you can find it. If you want to keep interest in guitar, simply learn some simple cords. Take some cords you do like and simply combine them together to make your own sound. Learn how to play the acoustic guitar now. Here is another simple way to produce a different sound: take a cord, try to strum it up twice then down once. Or just up and down. It is a bit more difficult to pick a cord but it is well worth the practice. In a short amount of time, you will be able to speed up or slow down your tempo, to mix and match, to combine and to produce your very own song.
There is at least one song that is easy to play and you do like personally. I recommend you do start by learning to play a simple song you do like. Some people may find learning guitar to be a bit frustrating. A few simple and quick wins are all you need. There is no need to be some master player in order to learn how to play a great melody.
